Catching the big one is deciding which lake to go on. We believe this lake presents a great opportunity for the big bite. What happens when the big bite comes, is up to the bass and the fisherman. People should not expect any lake to produce several trophy bites each day. The trophy bite is very special and you can only go to a lake that offers you the best opportunity for it to happen. We believe that this is one of the best lakes to give you the opportunity for the big bite. This lake is nestled among some of the most beautiful country of Mexico. There are lots of trees and underground structure in the lake.
There are several feeder creeks that run throughout the lake. There are some deep areas in the lake, the deepest parts begin at 65 foot. The lake is well protected from the North winds. The most chop ever on the lake is 1 1/2 feet. There are several coves that you can fish in to get away from the wind.
The lake was made in 1976 and covers 6,500 acres. The lake is managed very well
and the taking of bass out of the lake is strictly enforced. The lake was
stocked with pure Florida and Native Bass each year. Fishing is good year round. The average size of fish is about 1 to 4 pounds (this
is conservative). A conservative number of fish that you can expect to catch in a day is 20
The boats we use are 15 1/2 feet long with 40 horse power engines. The trolling motors are mounted on the front of the boats. The seats are padded and they swivel. The boats fish very comfortably for two people. They allow the guide to get you into heavily timbered areas.
